hello please help I’m using ubuntu 11.04, I don’t except it back till tuesday but here it is.
which is the best Printer/Scanner to get I understand it is HP, I’m not bothered about a fax i understand i could disable it anyway
Yep, pretty much ALL HP printers and All-In-Ones will work with Linux, “out of the box” using the hplip/hpijs drivers which will be installed by default in Ubuntu.
If you have an HP printer, it might not hurt to install the hplip-gui package for ease of setup though.
sudo apt-get install hplip-gui
Then look for the HPLIP Toolbox under System>Preferences.
