If you are in the EU and using Python in your business then perhaps you can help in fighting this trademark
For anyone who works in a company that has an office in a EU Community member state, we need your help.
There is a company in the UK that is trying to trademark the use of the term "Python" for all software, services, servers... pretty much anything having to do with a computer.
A few years ago KFC attempted to sue a small family diner in Carnoustie (of golf course fame) for allegedly using the term “Family Feast” on their menus, the suit was eventually dropped not because they felt they were wrong or that they really didn’t have exclusive rights to the English language but because they realised the publicity it was getting was showing them up for the bullies they were.
Consequently I will never in my life buy a KFC and would press any fair minded person to do likewise and run these American corporate thugs out of this country
