Screensavers- SOLVED.

My screensaver programme in Linux Peppermint 3 is very basic- I want to set a pictures folder as the screensaver and can find no way of doing it. How do I do that? Also there is only one screensaver- a snowflakes one in there.

sudo apt-get install xscreensaver-gl xscreensaver-gl-extra xscreensaver-data xscreensaver-data-extra

Now look in the screensaver again.

Well I did that, but how do I set a pictures folder from my documents to be the screensaver? I know how to do that in Microsoft but not on Peppermint 3.

Go to

menu > Prefer4ences > Screensaver

Set “Only one screensaver” > “Glslidehow”

Seelct the “Advanced” tab, under “Image Manipulation” … tick “Choose Random Image”

and choose a path to a directory that contains the Images you want displayed by the screensaver

I did that Mark but it only does one picture, not all that is in the folder- well that is what it shows in the preview- but have set the minutes less, maybe that is why.

How many pics are in there ?

What is different about the one it does show ?

It’s odd because it works on my system …

I think it was to do with the time settings- seems ok now Mark thanks.

Great
