Senior Linux Systems Administrator (m/f)

Our Client, an international company specialised in entertainment technology and based in Luxembourg, is currently looking for his Senior Linux Systems Administrator.


  • Provide on-going administration of Linux Debian systems;
  • Supporting 2000+ of Linux servers globally;
  • Perform remote software installations; patch software/OS; troubleshoot connectivity problems;
  • Coordinate deployment of hardware and systems;
  • Create and enhance internal OS deployment tools and processes;
  • Use our system resource utilization and monitoring tools to identify potential problem areas before they result in incidents;
  • Perform production system changes;
  • Work with other team members to monitor and review system capacity and design upgrade path’s;
  • Create packages and patches for distribution to servers;
  • Scripting with Perl and Shell.

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a Master’s Degree in Information Technology;
  • Benefits from minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position in a fast-pace environment
  • Has minimum 4 years proven track record experience with job control, kernel, and user environment;
  • Has minimum 4 years proven track record experience of DNS, DHCP, PXE boot and TCP/IP routing;
  • Has minimum 4 years proven track record experience of troubleshooting skills for both system performance and connectivity issues;
  • Has experience of building and deploying Deb packages;
  • Has programming experience in Perl, Shell scripting and PHP;
  • Has experience in Global Load Balancing and HA technology;
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written); capable of writing systems documentation and procedures and has a disciplined approach to change management;
  • Is a well organised, self-motivated person;
  • Is fluent in English. Any other language is an advantage.
