VPN GUI for Linux Mint

Do you know GUI for wireguard or openvpn? In my current situation I need to switch between two different servers frequently and I got pissed off to do it by CLI each time.

OpenVPN or Wireguard not principal with exactly. I will just reconfigure server.

Proprietary crap not welcome nor considered.

Any good solutions?

Hi,

Sounds like you’re looking for something to control system services? Assuming you have OpenVPN and Wireguard configured, switching between them is just a case of stopping one system service, then starting another …

In which case, to an extent, it depends on the desktop you’re using. You should find there are Gnome shell extensions for controlling systemd services, also on KDE. (plasma-systemd for example)

For something a little more generic, how about this;

i.e. click “OpenVPN”, click “Stop”, click “Wireguard”, click “Start” etc … ?

If you’re not using systemd on your system, then there may well be a GUI for whatever you’re using instead. Doesn’t sound like you need a full GUI for the actual VPN’s in question?
